Nightly, August 11 (0c44719) / Windows7

1) Create a fretboard diagram without "x" and "o"
At this step, one may edit it (numbers frets and strings)

2) Drag and drop it, with Shift+ Ctrl, in the Palette Symbols

3) Now, reverse way, drag and drop it on the score.

4) Click-right for edit it -> Fretboard Diagram Properties -> Ok

Result: crash

- Being very unstable at this step #4, it is possible that the crash happens before OK, but after waiting a few seconds (5-6).
Or it is possible that the crash does not happen first time. In this case, after Ok, try a second time, and the crash will happen.

- Other comment: in these tests, I had a few surprises, by editing the number of strings (down to 4, then up to 9 or more) with curious signs when adding the strings. But I cannot reproduce in a logical manner, and by knowing exactly at which step it occurs. I go to try again.

Wow, a real treasure hunt this story!
I just finally find the word fine of the story about the apparition of the symbols.

The key: there are two fretboard diagrams !!

1) the diagram that you originally created, and remains the same place.

2) and the second (the "clone") which goes on in the palette, and goes back on the score.

So, when the "clone" is on the score, it depends on a crash if you want to edit it, as seen earlier.

But the first one (but only after the step # 3!) is subject to other behaviors! No crash for it...

But if you edit it, and add strings (but you must first start by removing some ... start 4 and up, 6 and more ...), at this moment, the symbols appear.

Ok, I think I have finished my evening!

The same crash occurs even if you leave the O's or X's at top of the diagram - it's not related to the recent change to allow nothing on top. The crash occurs upon edit of a fret diagram with no dots dragged into the score from the palette (double click also does not crash).
