  1. Place any note in note-selection mode

  2. While still is note-placement mode, place cursor either on or next to the note you just place

  3. Use any of the number keys 1-9 to change your note type.

The note symbol following your cursor gets clipped by the blue outline of the first note you placed.

Workaround: Move/wiggle the mouse after changing note length.
