"Style" (in the singular) isn't correct as Format > Style… opens a window containing many styles. Changing the name to "Styles" in the format menu, and on the window itself, would, IMV, be more accurate and informative.

One Style, many substyles...

I also think of it as one style with many settings, settings that happens to be arranged on multiple pages of the dialog that you can choose to think of as substyles but internally even that distinction doesn't exist - it's just one long flat list of style settings, even the various text style settings. I would strongly recommend against any change to the labeling that would create the erroneous impression there are multiple distinct styles in effect at once. I could imagine some future version of MuseScore redesigning all this in a way where that might make sense, so I'll leave it open for future consideration.
On reflection, the current use of "Style" is a fair one. "Style" is being used in a general sense and names like "Score", "Page" etc, are qualifiers that adequately specify a particular part of the style definition.
