If "show rests" is active in lute tablature, not only the rests of voice 1, but also of other voices will be shown.
I attach an example that uses the 4 voices of the above organ part. That this is problematic in some respects, is another problem (in general discussions: Lute tabulature does not display rhythm correctly).

I would expect, that only the rests of voice 1 should be shown, but in fact there sometimes are shown the rhythm signs of voice 1 and rests of another voice (the rests are flags/rhythm signs that are set lower).
The image shows m. 105 ff. where many problems are visible.
As it is sometimes useful to extend the bass notes for a better playback, this is a quite annoying problem, as you don't have any chance to make invisible unuseful rests ...

"Show rests" does what it says. If you have rests in voice 2-4, they are surely shown. They don't show if you don't enter them. Same as on a standard staff.

However, it should also be possible to mark rests invisible individually (again, same as on a standard staff), and apparently, this is not current possible. Seems like it would be useful indeed, and unless there is some reason i cannot fathom for the current behavior, I'd call the failure of this to work as expected a bug.
