Project
  1. Create any score with unbeamed dotted notes, so that flags are present (sample score attached).
  2. Observe that a note placed on a line has its stem automatically extended to avoid an actual collision between dot and flag tip.

Expected result: there should be visual clearance between the dot and the end of the flag
Actual result: the dot is so close to the flag end that the two elements almost merge

Comment by @oktophonie on the forum thread:
"In engraving generally the most common solution for this is to move the dot out so that it does not collide with the flag. I assume for MuseScore to do this automatically would require a code fix.
(Extending the stem is another solution, but this tends to look rather ungainly, so is seen less often. It looks to me that MuseScore automatically extends the stem a half space for notes that are on a line, since the dot is in those cases also displaced a half space up.)"

Suggested fix:
a) where a dotted note with flag is drawn, the dot should be moved to the right to provide a clear visual gap between flag end and dot
b) where a dotted note falls on a line, it would be preferable to move the dot to the right rather than the current expedient of lengthening the stem
