Open the attached file and then double click the staff text to enter text edit mode. The text will unexpectedly move. This is corrected when a relayout occurs.

I can't reproduce, nothing moves on double click
Create a new score. Add some staff text. Save, close and re-open the score and then double-click the staff text.

Nope, still nothing
No issue for me, either. Is it possible you are running on a multiple monitor setup with different display resolutions> Text rendering glitches are known to occur in that case.
If that's not it, could you record a screencast video and post a link here so we can see what you do? Might give us a clue as to what is different about your system or how you are doing things.
