Can slurs default to appear below notes?
I use a lot of slurs in my music since I write for classical guitar.
In the docs they seem to default to appear below the note.

However, for me they always default to above the notes, so I need to flip them every single time.
Is there any way to make them appear below the note as default?
Here is an example of what I need:

When you have two voices (as here), it's standard for the slurs to go on the outside. The slurs in the handbook examples are below the notes because there's only a single voice (and all the stems are pointing up). So, in this case, you'll need to flip them manually.

Thanks, that is useful to know. I wish there was a default setting for the slur position.
Not default for when you are entering them but you can flip many slurs in one go once you've entered a bunch of them: Click on the Properties tab, select a slur in the score then right-click Select >Similar. Click on "Below" in the Position section in the Properties tab.

Thanks. It quickly becomes a chore. I am hitting "s", then clicking away from the note stems, then hitting "x", then realizing I still had the stems selected, undo, try again. :)
Selecting "similar" becomes a problem because it flips all other slurs. It does not only select "above" slurs. :)

Use the Properties panel to set the placement to above directly, instead of using the flip command.
Presumably you don't literally want them all below, just the few where the standard position causes some sort of conflict? There's a good reason the standard is outside the staff; there would normally be tons of conflicts if it were otherwise.

The custom for classical guitar is for slurs to be placed below the notes if the stems are up, and above if the stems are down. This is most likely for readability. So in a two-voice classical piece, most slurs for the first voice would typically be placed below the notes and stems would be up.
I wish Musescore would have a setting to follow this convention.
