Please, please could you bring back the possibility to make notes, rests etc. invisible or visible again via context menu (mouse, right click) in Musescore 2? The fastest way to do things in a GUI, is to do it right in place instead of moving your mouse every time somewhere else.
If you use a music recognition software, your score is often full of invisible elements and you will move your mouse kilometers to make them visible again.

PS I know, that i could create a keyboard shortcut, but it's better not being forced to customize a program to much, more than ever, if you are using this program on several computers/operating systems and you would have to make those changes for every single system.

Thanks to all of you. A standard shortcut is quite okay. I didn't find the shortcut V, because I looked up "unsichtbar" (German for invisible) and found two entries (Unsichtbar machen, Unsichtbares anzeigen) without a default shortcut.
If there exits a visibility-switch "Sichtbarkeit"/"toggle visibility" under shortcuts, is there any need for two further entries ("sichtbar machen" and "unsichtbar machen"; only in the German shortcut section, i think) doing the same, but without default shortcut? Could bring people unnecessarily to generate new shortcuts, without finding the real thing, namely shortcut V.
I found the inspector accidentally, which is by default not visible. IMHO the context menu - only a right click away - is more intuitive to change object related parameters directly (in comparison to the inspector, not to the shortcut V of course).

The English term in shortcuts is "Toggle visibility", I've translated it into German as "Sichtbarkeit umschalten", have a better translation?

Hallo Jojo,
I will give you a quick response in german, because we are talking about the german translation (and because it's easier as well).

Perfectly right about toggle vs. ein-/ausschalten, I used this in many other places, just not in this one, fixed now.
The other 2 entries "sichtbar machen"/"unsichtbar machen" resp. "set visible"/" set invisible" work the same way as the corresponding buttons in Inspector , seen when you make a selection like clicking into a measure.
So you can set and use shortcuts for them too.
Might be an idea to have some shortcuts set by default, like Shift+V for "Set visible" and Alt+Shift+V for "Set invisible", maybe?

OK, I tried it out, and there is a difference between "unsichtbar machen" (set invisible) and "sichtbar machen" (set visible) on the one hand and "Sichtbarkeit umschalten" (toggle visibility) on the other.
If you select a bunch of same elements, for example rests, and the visibility of those elements is mixed (some rests are visible, some are not), than you will get with "toggle visibility" an inversion of the visibility for the selected rests i.e. the formerly visible rests are now invisible and vice versa.
Using "set visible" will make them all visible and "set invisible" will switch them all to invisible. Guess I was wrong about the unnecessity of "unsichtbar machen" (set invisible) and "sichtbar machen" (set visible).
In German maybe the term would be more precise, if it would be called "alle unsichtbar machen", "alle sichtbar machen". And maybe your "Sichtbarkeit umschalten" (toggle visibility) or something like "Sichtbarkeit umkehren" would describe the inversion of visibility, which the command "toggle visibility" produces, not so bad at all.
And yes, as they both now really useful commands, default shortcuts for both of them would be a good idea!
