Can you upload a sample file? I can't make this happen with multimeasure repeats and a repeat barline.
It might have been a corrupt score, that extra barline seems to indicate that?
The picture looks suspiciously like a bug that was present this summer and fixed shortly after Beta 1. It's possible by "beta 2" he really means, MuseScore 2.0 Beta 1", in which case, this can be closed as already fixed. See #33381: corruption when saving score containing a system beginning with a start repeat on an mmrest.
However the commit he mentioned is definitely Beta 2

I'll close this issue, reopen if you can reproduce from scratch in beta 2 or a later nightly build.
