Hard to summarize, easy to demonstrate:
1) load attached score
Result: melisma line - which is logically connected to notes in voice 1 - is extended to include the notes in voice 2. I guess the end element is being computed incorrectly.

I just realized, this is probably only reproducible with code I am working on but haven't committed yet. Will see if I can resolve it without changing the end element calculation.

Better to use the open-square-bracket, hash, issue-number, close-square-bracket method to link to other issues, as that causes them to link back automagically, so it is #138486: Melisma underline extends when reimported as Music XML
