This is with a30df09:
1. create a group of chords with differing amounts of notes per chord
2. select the group
3. add staccato with shortcut
Only chords with three notes get staccato.
Hmm, seems I can't reproduce. Did it get fixed by accident? Maybe with the new shortcut, or was that shortcut the problem (for some) to start with?
Range-select or list-select any number of chords, press whatever the shortcut for staccato is set to on your system, and voila, all staccato markings get toggled (added of they were not there before, removed if they were).
Oh, hold on, "chords with even amount of notes", ah, yes, now I see...
Proper reading is of advantage sometimes ;-)
Adding staccato to a group of chords fails on chords with even number of notes

Adding staccato to a group of chords fails on chords with even number of notes when using shortcut
To fail the staccato needs to be added via a shortcut, double clicking the staccato on the palettes just works (but also doesn't toggle, it just sets it).
Comments
1 and 5 too. So no stacatto if number of notes is even.

Attached a possible test score, comments welcome whether it covers enough cases (and no, it is not supposed to make any musical sense)
Time is out :)
