Cursor keys functioning differently than expected when text is highlighted

1. Open score.
2. Double-click text.
3. 'Select All'.

4. Press 'Right'.

Expected result: The cursor moves to the end of the highlighted text.
Actual result: Nothing happens.

Or:

4. Press 'Left'.

Expected result: The cursor moves to the start of the highlighted text.
Actual result: The cursor moves to between the penultimate character and the last.

Using MuseScore 2.0 Nightly Build 12b4b1c - Mac 10.7.5.

There are other incorrect behaviours - try the steps by selecting a word in a piece of text that isn't the beginning, or last.

Correct is in the eyes of the beholder; this borders on feature request. But I'd agree that most programs in my experience probably work as you describe, and I think it would probably be preferable here. I hedge, because lyrics are somewhat unique.

BTW, you left out steps 1-2 - create/load a score, add some text
