Copy right symbol

How do I put the copyright symbol into the New Score?
And if I created it with out that symbol how do I add it to the Score?

There are different ways to type it depending on your keyboard setup, but you can also just copy and paste it from here: ©

To edit the copyright info of an existing score, go to File -> Info….

You can do it the old way using the keyboard.

Hold the TAB key then enter 0169... ©

Any Windows and Linux systems have something called: "Characters Map".

From that, you can use the "Copy and Paste" function to use the "©" character and put it whatever you want.

Also, using any Linux version, you can use [Alt Gr] + [Shift] + [C] keys and you will get it.

Greetings & Blessings!!!!!!!

And if Scott Humphries is a Mac user, neither the Windows nor the Linux keyboard combinations would work, and it would have to be [Option]+[G]. But be that as it may, it's simpler to not go into detail on every single platform-specific method and just give the universal solution—copy and paste.

Automatically converting a "(C)" into a © on text enty would be quite easy to do. And it used to work in certain contexts in 1.x, but that functionality deliberatly got removed for 2.0.
Another option would be to allow entering an "©" HTML entity

The "(c)" only worked in actual text on the score, there was no way to get it to work in a dialog box. So typically jn 1.3, you'd enter the text into the Copyright field in the "create new score" wizard, then immediately go edit the copyright field to trigger the conversion. Awkward, but at least it was possible.

I recall Werner saying he was not a fan of these sort of automatic conversion, but I really think this one is special enough we should consider it, even if only when processing the Copyright field in the wizard (or File / Info).
