Keyboard shortcut Control + + (zoom in) is not working on Windows 7 Professional. It's rather an important one, so not low priority.

Ctrl++ and Ctrl+- work just fine here for zoom in/out, Windows 7 (Enterprise, 64bit, German Keyboard)
Ctrl+= switches to 100% zoom and that exactly matches my expectations, although only Ctrl+0 is set in the shortcut preferences for this
(Edit: oh, now I see, "=" is "Shift+0" on my keyboard, so now I know why "Ctrl+=" seemd to work...)

Which shortcuts are used in your settings?

So I don't see a bug, and not even a (valid) feature request.

There may indeed be a problem with those shortcut settings not woking on certain Keyboards, and that had been discussed elsewhere, see #17813: Keyboard locale-aware keyboard shortcuts

The "Getting Started" page tells people to use Control++ to zoom in. But it didn't work for me, and I see that it's a common issue.

Therefore, to give beginning users a better out-of-the-box-experience, I think the default software should ALSO map Control+= to be zoom-in. I've got a US Keyboard layout, which has the + above the =.

This might make the problem disappear for many beginners? Just a thought.

Thanks for all your work. 2.0 is great improvement.

Yes, you can consider this a duplicate. But you might not throw away the suggestion to ADD the Control+= mapping for zoom-in to the default configuration, so that newbies (who are used to Chrome) can get it to zoom back in after zooming out.

Well, as I said, this addition would cause conflict in other keyboard layouts.
Also, ai I said, my expectation of a Ctrl+= would be a 100% zoom

Does the + and - from Numpad work for you?

Title control + not working; control = should also zoom in Add Ctrl+= as alternate shortcut for zoom in

I've retitled this to be more appropriate. Ctrl++ *does* work, but if your particular keyboard happens to require Shift to access the "+" key, then of course you need to press Shift, just as you would to type it without Ctrl.

So this really just a request for a special case of the more general #17813: Keyboard locale-aware keyboard shortcuts - to add Ctrl+= as an alternate shortcut for zoom in. This really opnly makes sense on those keybaords that happen to have "+" as the shifted version of "=", so it might not make sense to do this without implementing a more general locale scheme as would be needed to resolve the other issue. But it doesn't hurt to leave this particular special case open as a separate request in case it is decided it is worth doing this even without the more general scheme.

> Does the + and - from Numpad work for you?

Laptops don't even have a Numpad. There might be some special alt-gr-fn-shift-whatever way to get those keycodes, but I and most users won't know them.

> I've retitled this to be more appropriate. Ctrl++ *does* work, but if ...

No, that's not correct. I've tried the Control+Shift++ (the US key has = and +) to try to get zoom-in, and it didn't work. I fiddled with lots of variations, including trying to get the numpad + to work, but I couldn't get it to zoom-in.

And this is for the big US market on laptops, so I think it'd be important. Many users are used to Google Chrome: control+- is zoom-out, control+= and control++ are both zoom-in, and control+0 is 100%. I think you'd benefit your average US user by supporting those out-of-the-box.

Best,
George

Nevermind, found it. helpmusescore@gmail.com

Works for my US keyboard on Windows 7. Unfortunately every keyboard is different. It's virtually impossible to make all shortcuts work with all keyboards, unfortunately.
