But in order to help, we need you to attach the specific score you are having problems with and precise step by step instructiosn to reproduce the problem. Tell us exactly what you click/ press in what order, what you expect to see happen, and what happens instead.
For a standard staff, pressing a number should select a duration icon, and does for me. For a tab staff, pressing a number enters that fret. You need to use the regular keys; if you have a numeric keypad, you would need to customize your shortcuts to allow those keys to also function in this way (Edit / Preferences / Shortcuts).

Numeric Keypad work well, regular keys dont.
I try some configs and now all working good.
