Made from scratch using ea7dc1d. You do not need to use a double appogiatura. You do need to select the 'after' grace notes. Leading space does not put space between note and grace note, so no work around.

BTW, workaround is to move the chords using the offset. And FWIW, this was the same in 2.3.2. Quite surprised not to hear more reports of this over the years.
