OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.4.2.9788, revision: 148e43f

  1. Create any new score using the Wizard.
  2. Now quit the program.

Expected result: Reminder to save score.
Actual result: The program closes with no reminder to save.

Comments

There is metadata (title, composer, etc.), instrument setup, key signature, time signature, tempo, and a specific number of empty measures. All of these can take effort to set up and are thus worth saving.

Good catch. Confirmed here.

I'm very surprised that it makes a difference, but there it is.

Status PR created fixed

Fixed in branch master, commit ec8b52d66c

_Fix #301929: No reminder to save, if you quit program before entering anything in a new score

Fixed a problem that caused MuseScore to fail to prompt the user to save any newly created scores when exiting the app if they hadn't been edited at all.

Note that this problem occurred only when exiting the app, and not when closing an individual score._
