Yes. the midi input is what am referring to...
But what is a midi keyboard. Whether it cannot be done by a normal keyboard?

Midi note entry is done via a midi keyboard, but you can also use the normal keyboard for note entry. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/note-input

I suppose you are speaking about the instrument and not the computer keyboard, when you refer to as normal keyboard?
Because, when I connected my normal keyboard to PC via cable and tried inputing notes after enabling midi input button, it just doesn't work?

I refer to the computer keyboard. The icon you show is for the midi keyboard. That needs to be switched on and connected before you start musescore

MIDI keyboard has piano keys. (some sort of instrument).
Normal Keyboard (typewriter/computer keyboard) has Letters and Numbers.
if you use Normal keyboard, You don't need MIDI input.
click on staff,
press N,
and type some musical note letters: A, B, C, D, E, F, G
Computer keyboard always works.

Hi,
I am actually referring to the Yamaha Keyboard as normal keyboard and not the computer keyboard. My Yamaha keyboard too has piano keys.
But, how to find out whether it is Midi Keyboard or not? (Don't know what is the meaning o MIDI before the term keyboard)...
It's Model No. is Yamaha PSR E-403...

so, if it's a midi keyboard, then why am I not able to enter notes one at a time using the midi keyboard keys in musescore?

Has been connected and switched on before starting MuseScore? Has it been detected by the OS? Are the correct drivers installed?
If this driver is only available as 64bit, you may need the 64bit version MuseScore, see https://musescore.org/en/download#Unsupported-versions-for-Windows

Have you read the appropriate sections of the Handbook to learn how to use note input? If so, can you be more specific about at exactly which step something happens different from you expect?

Yes. I had read the section. Pl find attached snapshot...
After following until 7th point, the highlighted thing is what I meant as not happening...

Yes.. That's a valid point... But, the driver for PSR-E403 is not available in Yamaha website..
as the model is more than ten years old...

Basically, if it has keys like a piano and plugs in to your computer, it is MIDI - there really isn't anything else.
But if you are hoping to just play it in real time and have it magically turned into readable music, I'm afraid you will be disappointed. It doesn't work that way. 2.0.3 has no real-time note entry, only one-note-at-a-time (same as using your computer keyboard). 2.1 will have a semi-realtime mode, but it can't work miracles, and expecting to get readable notation automatically out of a realtime piano performance is not technically feasible.
Be sure to have the correct USB-MIDI driver installed:
