I'm putting this against version 2.1 since it is not a regression. I actually use version 2.1 for the Spanish.

Spanish and many other languages use a different note system than English speakers. Most places have the correct translations. There are 2 places I have found where translation of the notes is impossible.

  1. In the status bar as seen here:

  2. In the Select->More... dialog as seen here:
    spanish select more.png

Here is a link to my original post where Jojo explain where the issue is.

@mike320 and @Jojo-Schmitz, could you please explore the current version of the app and list down every single place you can find where the note names are currently being displayed correctly in your selected non-English language, and then post that list here?

I'm trying to figure out the best way to implement this, and your input will help.

Properly translated:

  • Instrument properties, the amateur and professional range.
  • Instrument properties, string date (for plucked string instruments)
  • Ambitus inspector
  • Notenames plugin (which pick on the Ambitus translations IIRC)
  • Shortcuts for note entry (well, at least it translates B to H in German

Not translated:

  • Status bar
  • Select dialog
