STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. This requires a score with multiple instrument staves (attached).
2. Select the tuplet bracket - Oboe, measure 2.
3. In the Inspector, uncheck "Automatic placement".
4. Double-click the tuplet bracket to select the right-hand anchor.
5. Using the down-arrow, try to adjust the bracket so it is horizontal.
Expected result: bracket gradually adjusts to horizontal
Actual result: bracket jumps down to a different instrument stave
Note: these steps work "as expected" in MuseScore 2.3.2

I remember during testing the Laurelin ran into a similar issue and I thought it had been fixed. I'm probably searching for the wrong terms again because I can't find it in the issue tracker.

I did a search in the Issue Tracker for "tuplet" and "triplet". The nearest issue I found was #280472: Tuplet brackets won't slope.
I think it would be useful if the tuplet set-up in the Inspector had a checkbox for "Set horizontal"?
I note it fixes itself on next full layout.
I can no longer reproduce in 3.1 using this score and these steps, I think it was likely addressed by my fix for cross-staff tuplets (specifically, probably https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/commit/2d600594e2b6d59e97085d83d…)
Feel free to reopen if you can find new steps to reproduce a similar problem.

Confirmed: this fault is already fixed in MS 3.1 Beta.
Many thanks, Marc!
"Fix version" should be set to "3.1.0" then, no? It seems I don't have the necessary permissions to do that…
