i don't know if this is just something that wasn't put into the system put every time i make a score i i divide the parts into each individual instrument and section with the parts feature in file, but if i save while on one of the individual tabs it will only save the score with that instrument. lost my entire score that had taken me 3 months to do and had 13 parts, please fix, i am extremely pissed

It seems likely that you (inadvertently?) used Save As to save the part, and then(inadvertently?) gave it the same name as the score. This is the only sequence of events I know of that would result in the score being replaced. This would be unfortunate, but there would be little we could do about it except point you to information about how to retrieve backup copies (see for instance https://musescore.org/en/node/52116). Or you could post the score you are having problems with and we could look to see if something else might be going on. Or, you might have simply saved the part under a different name or to a different folder, and the original might still be right where you left it.

Anyhow, most likely, there is no bug here - MuseScore is just doing what you (inadvertently?) told it to do. But if you are sure you didn't use Save As and can come up with a set of steps that can reproduce the problem, please follow up and give us those steps. Normally, however, a simple Save operation does the right thing and saves the full score and all parts regardless of whether you are viewing the score or a part when you do it, and this works perfectly for me.

Closed due to lack of response. Please read Mr. Sabatella's comment and make sure it is really a issue with MuseScore. If so, please report, with precise steps to reproduce, in a new thread if this still troubles you in the latest version (3.4.2).
