sound fonts
hello - I acquired a violin sound font as discussed weeks ago - what is the procedure to get it onto Muse ? that is - I'm stuck looking at it on desktop ( the WAV ) and having trouble actually attaching it to the score - and will it make ALL the violins notes better in the score ? - they sound a little flat ...

As mentioned, that's not a soundfont. You need to find an actual soundfont (SF2 format) not just any old recording of a violin. Just like if you want to install a new tect font, you need the actual font, not just any old picture of some text.

hmm - oh wow - maybe got the wrong compressed file - still in the dark and i'll have to o back and try somehow to find a font - went on Polyphone to get it - it's been a month looking into it -

oh I see - ok thx- I'll have to learn how to do this - a 600 bar score soon to be done dont want to mess it all up - better experiment with a trial 5-bar practice piece of junk ....still looking for that sf2 font file somewhere ..

Brian, you need to get the the full SF2 SoundFont separately, and then modify it by adding in that WAV sample. Look again at my instructions—the very first step I gave you a link to the SoundFont: https://musescore.org/en/node/60026#comment-470226

ok - I'll try it - I first downloaded the 3 things mentioned the WAV violin b6L - polyphone and fluid mono (amongst a list of 5) seekin deeper- the first link (fluidr3 mono) gives another page - 2 arrows - clicking it downloads the vioin sf2 font? ....finished downloading - now opening it gives a massive striped yellow and white page - is that getting anywhere ? hundreds of inst. - violin is on that list - B D F G# - is that it ?..... just new at searching for this stuff - sry
the fluid R3 MONO GM2 is up - now what ? drag the WAV on to it somehow ?

maybe best I leave it be and live with the flats - I don't know what I'm doing with these charts and font styles and liable to mess up the entire score.

It is even more clear to me that you should wait for the official fix.
I have made a temporary improvement by removing that sample from the instrument.
I shall not be uploading it tonight though as it is bed time!
