Stacatto appearing on wrong side of note head

When adding staccato indications to a series of quarter notes with the note stems going upward, all notes higher than the A space have the dot placed above the notehead instead of below.

I don't understand the file you attached—it has no notes at all, let alone staccatos. Can you provide precise step-by-step instructions to reproduce the problem from scratch, and/or attach a score that actually shows the problem?
