With the 2.0.3, we received this result, after adding a measure (Ctrl + B) in part (ie, MM rest of 33 measures):
By now, with this Nightly: e073d67,
we get: MM rest of 32 measures, + 1 measure, and above all, so, 2 end barlines.
The number above MM rest is not updated.
Question: this new behaviour is it as expected?

Eg also, after cutting the first end barline, I get:
I think it would be better to create a new issue for the problem you're reporting, because it doesn't seem to be related to the crash this issue was about.
With a9188d1 (before the fix was merged) you get the very same results you're describing here, if you first press CTRL-B and only then switch to the part (to avoid the crash).
