I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or what, but I'm trying to compose a full and piece, but I can't see anything past the trumpets. It's like grayed out. If I double click a measure, I can see it but when I go to notate it tells me to go up. Help?

Can you post a screen pic or the score, something?
Is it possible you just have too many staves to fit on whatever page size you are using?
Next time, it isbetter to use the forum to ask support questions, and not submit an issue until it is totally clear that there is a bug, and you ahve steps to reproduce it.
You have too many staves for the page size. Go to Layout -> Page settings and reduce the scaling.
