I have a concert band arrangement of the nutcracker suite and for some reason the program stops responding and shuts down whenever I try to get individual parts...it is important that this problem gets fixed soon
Assuming you are using the released version (1.2) and not an experimental one, then chances are something is corrupt in your score. Sometimes it is possible for someone who knows about the internal file format to go into a score and fix problems like this, but they'd need to see the score, of course.
I'm trying to remember any specific things that have been know to cause issues like this, and the one that comes to mind is if you put voltas (eg, first and second endings) on any staff but the topmost one. Scores generally show these only at the top; MuseScore automatically includes them on all parts. So if you see that you have put coltas somewhere other than the top staff, simply deleting those may fix the problem.
I checked if I had any unnecessary endings, and all of the the ones I have are above the top staff, do you know any thing else that could be the problem?
No need to abruptly close an issue because it could reside better in the forums. Let's keep in mind that when people make the effort and pass the barriers to submit a post on musescore.org for the very first time, that this is a triumph. Let's welcome them and help them getting to know this site.
@lampsrbulby still looking forward to your score file so we can help you out. You can attach it to a comment on this post.

Could be a lot of different things.... can you attach your score in a comment? or share a link to it? We will try to find a way to fix it.
Hi
Could you use the forum instead?
The Issue Tracker is for established reports - particularly for forthcoming version(s), which is 2.0.
Thanks :).

As there has been no further information, I close this.
