1. Open attached score (produced in 1.2).
2. Apply 'Grace: 8th after' to the first note.
Result: The 'Appoggiatura' is highlighted in the Grace Note palette.
Discussion: The appoggiatura might be applied instead.

The "Grace: 8th after" behaves correctly at the barline (which may be the only reason for it).
Steps:
1. Add a couple more quarter notes to the measure.
2. Add a "Grace: 8th after" to the last quarter note in the measure
Notice that the grace note appears in the same measure (before the barline).
Thanks for clarifying David - in a slight coincidence, I had checked using an example of my own that was similar to yours.
Whilst a 'Grace: 8th after' is indeed applied, the palette indicates 'Appoggiatura' when the note is clicked.

I don't understand the original report - what do you mean :highlighted"? Nothing is currently highlighted when I repeat these steps, nor do I expect anything to be. Maybe this is no longer relevant to the new implementation of grace-note-after?
Nothing is now highlighted in the grace note palette, so I would close this.
