1. Open attached score (produced in 1.2).
2. Apply glissando to a note in the first chord.

Result: It is only applied to the top note.

Using MuseScore 2.0 Nightly Build (e04dc04) - Mac 10.7.5.

I'll bump this issue up. I did not know this was a bug. But, I would like this to be possible as well. I posted this before I knew there had already been an issue submitted for it.

I suppose it's actually more of a feature request.

I just realized this feature also should be able to notate a gliss from one note to a cluster, where three glissando lines fan out from the one note.

What I mean about the fanning is that with instruments like trumpet or flute, music that has all three trumpet parts or all three flute parts on one sheet of music sometimes have similar glissando's where they might all start on same note, but all glissando to an entirely different note.

And my question about adding the comment, I don't understand what you are saying in that thread.

The 'Snap To' feature I propose would allow the user to choose what note(s) glissandi will direct to, both internally and visually.

So, any update to this? Status has been on "patch (code needs review)" for a while now, and I can see in the latest nightly that we still cannot change which note the gliss ends on. It's still just the top note.

I'm really just curious if this will be finished by the March release.

Status (old) patch (code needs review) postponed

The patch quoted in #12 has been merged, but it was not meant to address this request.

As far as I know, the decision has been made to postpone this further configurability of the Glissando feature to after 2.0 release.

As a partial improvement in this direction, note the -- with the new Glissando implementation -- there can be multiple glissandi at the same time in the same staff, if belonging to different voices.

I assumed the PR would address this in full, but yes, it indeed seems to be something for after 2.0 (in order to maintain stability, I believe).

Just came up against this issue and after some searching found this thread... a solution would be very much appreciated :)

(2.0.2" official release)

It is still not possible to apply multiple slides between chords. The current state-of-play is that the program will create a slide for each note, but only one of them ends up on the right note! As you can see from the following screenshot:
chord_slides.PNG

And if you try to undo the last one (ctrl + Z), the remaining slides shrink to the size of dots!

Enabling multiple slides should be a priority for the next release.

Attached is another score showing the difficulty of creating a basic four-note chord slide. Glissando lines have a limitation of one note-pair per voice which leaves only "slide out down" lines. But these prove impossible to work with: the program will not allow them to cross bar-lines, excessive space opens up in the score, there is difficulty selecting and adjusting, and one line can even disappear without warning.

A note-by-note glissando line is needed with an adjustable handle so the user can adjust angle and avoid other symbols.

There is a workaround for this, and it plays back correctly. Add glissandi while building the second chord up. For example, if the glissando goes from C-E-G to D-F-A an octave up, write C-E-G for the first chord and D for the second chord. Add the glissando to the C in the first chord. Then add the F to the second chord, and add the glissando to the E in the first chord. Similarly for the G and A.
