I was adding cues to Flauto 1, but then I noticed that whenever there was a clef, the mmrests were squashed, and there was a huge amount of space between the clef and the barline.

It's only in Flauto I, as that's the only part I've added cues to.

Title Too large horizontal spacing when there's a mmrest +clef Clefs after mmrests do not appear at all or are laid incorrectly, are not linked to underlying measures, and can't be deleted

At least you get a clef! I just tried, and the clef does not even appear at first. And the problems are far deeper than layout.

1) default empty score
2) enter middle C in bar 7
3) add bass clef to bar 7
4) press M

Result: the C appears above the staff as appropriate for bass clef, but no bass clef appears.

Now, save and reload, and you get the extra space as shown above. Tried turning off autoplacement for the clef, the mmrest, and the barline, no change.

Now, disable mmrests - you'll see a bass clef has appeared in bar 5 as well, and it can't be deleted. You can delete the one in bar 7, but if you re-enable mmrests, it's still there. You can't delete it from there that I can tell.
