In the attached file, select the top cello note that is in the last measure on page 1, and then shift select the contrabass notes on page 2. They turn blue, ok. Then press Del - lockup.

PS-Old MusicWrite Pro user here, just converted to Ubuntu Studio. You've got a great looking app going here, and I look forward to learning it, and integrating it with the rest of the Studio apps. Thank you for writing that little bit about Jack in the user manual - it really got me over the Jack Hump.

Thanks for the report. It looks like you have some invalid measures at the end there (notice the multiple bar lines). Ctrl+click on the last measure (you should get a dotted blue line). Then press Delete to remove the faulty measure.

You didn't mention what version of MuseScore you are using. If it isn't 0.9.5 please upgrade. Instructions are on the download page of this website. If you are using the latest version and you are able to list the steps to create these invalid measures (starting with a new score) please share the information.

For the mean time I'm closing the bug report (in an attempt to keep on top of the list of bugs). Of course we'll reopen it if you find out more and we are able to reproduce the steps.

Thanks for jumping right on this! I think the bad data was created when I pasted a multi-measure copy which had to extend the end of the composition. I will keep an eye out and if I can tell you what I did to make the error, will re-submit.
