Please attach the score you are having trouble with and the precise steps to reproduce the problem. For me 64th notes, including tuplets, work fine using the "private alpha" build.
Please give precise steps to reproduce the problem, eg:
1) select last bar
2) press N to enter note input mode
3) press 1 to select 64th duration
4) type "A B C" to enter those notes
5) press Ctrl+3 to create a tuplet
6) type "A B C"
except those steps work fine (aside from being very slow).
1) select the bar 8, beat 2 of the bass staff of the piano part, where I have the hextuplets
2) press N to enter note input mode
3) press a 32nd
4) press "a" to input a la
crash happens here
as for step 3, anything smaller than a 32nd, like a 64th or a tuplet that's smaller than a 32nd has the same effect
I suspect this has to do something with the playback?
Crash entering short notes in particular measures of a particular score

I can reproduce using those steps indeed, and now, also on other parts too. But only in those first few measures - the empty measures towards the end work fine. And it works fine on any other score. So perhaps some sort of hidden corruption in this one?

I tried it in the piano part, in that last bar
I don't have a problem with that, no crash, just works
