add note from bass in teble clef

In the attached in bar for old man the bass piano part needs to play an E in the treble clef at the places marked with 1/8 rest. How do I do this?

The approaches shown above work for sure. But I'd also note, as a pianist, I don't think either of them are preferable to simply putting the E in the bottom staff. Two ledger lines is not too many, and keeping it one staff helps the eye/brain conceptualize the intervals better.

Probably I'd be using my left thumb, at least in the first measure I saw this. Depends on what is coming before/after and what else is going on in the other hand. There are some anomalies in this arrangement that make this awkward, like in bar 4 where the accompaniment arpeggio doubles a melody note, and in bar 6 where it actually goes above the melody.
