Hi there,
I've been trying to add some stave text over a multi bar rest, and found that the text doesn't appear on my score until I click away from it. I see the place holder for the text, which grows as I write the text, and I can see the text at the bottom of my screen. I've attached a screen shot so you can see what I mean. I'm using 2.0 beta 2.
Thanks!
Jane

Confirmed using My First Score, adding a few notes to the first measure and pressing M. Trying to enter Staff text results in the entry box being shifted over to the right a bit, and no text visible until you click away.

Hmm, I'm actually surprised you can enter text directly in an mmrest in the first place! What I would have assumed you had to do is first disable mmrests (or, on the assumtpion that this score is actually a part within a score, switch to viewing the score, as Shoichi suggests), enter the text, then switch back.

That much certainly works: press M, enter the text, press M again.

It's probably possible to fix this, but if it doesn't turn out out to be very easy, I might propose instead we simply disable the text commands if you are on an mmrest.

I must admit, I was surprised it could be done at all with the multi bar rests - I was showing a friend, and he found it. It seems to be the same effect with any text - system, stave and tempo - although the tempo 'note=' mark appears. Rehearsal marks can be added as normal. The example is a stand alone part - I was recreating the problem so you could see it.
