The two new buttons (BTW, why the "Close" button?—there's a perfectly good one in the top corner) are MuseScore gray, but the background remains a kind of peaches-and-cream color. They clash violently. One or the other (button color or background color) needs to be altered to resolve this.

Why? Looks pretty OK to me, and 'clash violently' seem to be quite exaggerated.

On Mac OSX. Some other platforms don't have the same top buttons.
Any suggestions for the color? Keep in mind there is also the dark theme.
on Windows you do have the x button in the top right corner, as well as Alt+F4 ...

Or the Escape key. But I can't think of operating system that doesn't put some kind of "Close" button on a window.
