Changing staff type of 1.3 score to tablature retains treble clef
1. Open attached mscz (produced in 1.3).
2. 'Edit'>'Instruments…'.
3. Change 'Staff type' to 'Tab. 6-str. full'.
4. 'OK'.
5. 'File'>'Export…'.
6. Choose 'MusicXML'.
7. 'Save'.
8. Open MusicXML.
Result: The staff imports as a 6-line pitched staff with fingering.
Notes:
Also attached is the produced MusicXML.
It only seems to apply to 1.3 scores.

Comments
Even though the problem is seen in MusicXML, could it actually be a MuseScore issue (fully, or partially)?
Can you reproduce with a 2.0 score?
I forgot to check, but no, I can't reproduce with a 2.0 score.
I don't know if it's related, but if you do steps 1-4 and click to the left of the grace note, mention is given to an accidental in the status bar - a context menu even appears upon right-click.

I don't know if this was happening when originally filing, but after step 4, there is a treble clef - this could be the actual issue.

I don't know if an issue exists for it already?
Indeed, if you change the clef manually, it exports fine. Probably the export or input doesn't know how to deal with the mismatch.
This is probably the real issue, rather than MusicXML - hence the title change).
