Hi. Musescore (0.9.5) crashes each time I click on a particular measure from a particular song (I am trying to delete the measure). I have no idea what to do. Please help. Thanks.
The first step towards a suitable bug report is to allow others to reproduce the crash you are experience (i.e. attach the score that is crashing and give exact instructions to reproduce the crash).
The second step is to give steps to reproduce the problem from a new score.
I want to delete bar 19 (F sharp quarter note) as it apparently has a bug. As soon as I click on bar 19, Musescore crashes. I am using version 0.9.5 with Windows Vista. Thanks.
I wasn't able to fix the score using version 0.9.5. I was able to remove the problem measure using the latest nightly build
(nightly revision 3015, Windows 7). However, files saved in version 0.9.6 are no longer compatible with version 0.9.5 due to necessary changes in the file structure. The stable release of 0.9.6
is expected within a month so the nightly builds are fairly stable.
Attached is the 0.9.6 edited score.
If you discover the steps to reproduce the problem from a new score please let us know.
Thanks David. So my next step is to wait for the release of version 0.9.6 and continue transcribing from there, or can I continue with my score in version 0.9.5, leave the nasty measure alone, then save it in version 0.9.6 once its available?
In the past I have sometimes finished scores using a nightly build for scores I couldn't finish with the stable release. (But continued to use the stable release for most scores).
If you can wait a month or so then 0.9.6 stable should be available. I guess it depends on your needs and time frame.
