Saxophone (especially alto) sounds bad

I'd like to report a problem with the saxophone sound in Musescore 2.0. The sounds that playback makes for alto sax are gross. Below middle B, the saxophone sounds out of tune and bright. The high notes, especially high F and above, have a chirp at the beginning. It makes what is my favorite instrument to write for just sound bad, a problem when trying to create music. I liked the alto sax sound in previous versions of Musescore much better.

MuseScore allows to to choose any soundfont you like. I think the 1.3 soundfont was pretty terrible and the alto saxophone especially so, but if you prefer it, simply download and install that soundfont. There are many others that are much better you may also want to try. See the section on Soundfonts in the Handbook. You can also mix and match
