I was working on a song, and what happened was I saved it several times, and this was yesterday. And today, when I opened the same file I had saved all my progress on, it had erased all that I had done that day.

It's better to ask for help in the support forum. Most likely you simply opened the wrong copy of the score, like perhaps you saved to a different folder, or you accidentally penned the backup copy (file name starting with period and ending with comma). Check the file modified date / time.
Yes, that's what I did. I found it hidden somewhere. I panicked, sorry for the alarm.
