For some reason, whenever I try to play my own uploaded songs on the musescore app, there is no sound at all. Strangly, it is just my songs, no others. I've checked volume and even tried re downloading: nothing. Can anyone help?
Hi @MusicalPioneer_279, apparently you are playing your scores with a non default soundfont and in this soundfont you use a piano sound located in a different bank. In the MuseScore file we save this bank number and try to match the sound in the player. Unfortunately, there is no sound located at this bank number and program number in the player and we don't fallback on the normal piano. In MuseScore itself, and on MuseScore.com, we do, that's why you can hear sound on Musescore.com and anyone opening the mscz file with MuseScore can.
Long story short. The next version of the app will have a fix to default to default piano sound if we can't find the bank in our soundfont.
