I’ve noticed a couple of new…
- mscore/data/icons/mixer-dial.svg
- mscore/data/icons/mixer-mute-off.svg
- mscore/data/icons/mixer-mute-on.svg
- mscore/data/icons/mixer-slider-handle-vertical.svg
- mscore/data/icons/mixer-slider-handle.svg
- mscore/data/icons/mixer-solo-off.svg
- mscore/data/icons/mixer-solo-on.svg
… and changed…
- mscore/data/icons/note_timewise.svg
- mscore/data/icons/mscore.png
- mscore/data/mscore.bmp
- mscore/data/mscore.icns
- mscore/data/mscore.ico
… files, however the blacklist in mscore/data/icons/LICENSE.md was not updated accordingly.
I’m strongly recommending that said blacklist to be changed into a whitelist: a list that specifies what files exactly are derived from the Mirek Mazel icons. The current one is ① not even sorted, ② hard to maintain (see above — what about new files?) and ③ unclear whether it applies also to the png/ subdirectory.

note_timewise.svg is CC0 icon.
mscore.png, mscore.bmp, mscore.icns, mscore.ico are drawn by me. What kind of license should be for them?
I'm not sure about mixer ones. Let's ask @blackears.
The mixer_* icons were created by me in Inkscape. Letters come from the font Academico. This is the first few lines font's license:
Copyright © 2017, Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH (http://www.steinberg.net/), with Reserved Font Name "Academico".
This Font Software is licensed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1. This license is copied below, and is also available with a FAQ at: http://scripts.sil.org/OFL

I’d recommend to just state “under the same as MuseScore itself” and let that change along with the main application, should its licence ever change.
More important is probably to not say “all files except X, Y and Z are derived from the CC icon set” but “the files A, B, C and D are derived from the CC icon set”, then we can add “, all others are under the same licence terms as MuseScore itself” as a second half-sentence.

SIL OFL allows font embedding. Since you’re likely to have them converted to paths already anyway, that’s fine. (You might still wish to credit them, e.g. say “icons I, J and K were created using the X font from Steinberg under SIL OFL”, but that’s likely up to you. I assume the icons are more than just mechanically “draw text onto canvas at coordinates Y using font X, then save”, otherwise Debian would require source code…)

Yes, they've been converted to paths.
So, everything is ok, isn't it?

No, because the file
mscore/data/icons/LICENSE.md
still says “all files except these listed below are under Creative Commons from Google”, instead of “only the following files are under Creative Commons from Google”, and the list is not up-to-date.Right now, it shows files created by you Anatoly as created by Mirek Mazel with Google holding the rights.
Fixed in branch master, commit 7ee5754d86
fix #278900: update license terms for the icons
Put all CC4 icon names in the list.
All other files are under the same terms as MuseScore itself
@mirabilos, could you please review the https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/commit/7ee5754d86584e8ed7ff31c62…?
looks good to me, thanks!
