Plays fine for me. What goes wrong specifically? Did you perhaps accidentally turn off playback of repeats in the main toolbar? Or maybe you are in continuous view using an older version that had a bug with repeats in that view? If so, update to 3.5.2.

Is the "Play Repeats" button in the toolbar enabled?

It's better to ask once and get all the answers in the same place.

Sorry about the dup. OK, with the repeats off plays straight through as expected. With repeats on plays 1st repeat correctly then plays through and jumps to end instead of repeating and then jumping to 2nd.

I am still not understanding what you are experiencing or expect to happen. The sample plays exactly as I expect. See the picture. It plays up to the end repeat sign (blue) , returns to the start repeat sign, plays to the start of volta 1, skips volta 1 and plays volta 2 (red).
Does something else happen for you, or do you expect something different to happen?

How can it play the "1st repeat correctly" and then "jumps to end instead of repeating"'?
Either it plays the repeat or it jumps instead of repeating. You can't have both.
So.... to keep it simple.
How many times total do you want those bars between the repeat signs played?
(Notice I'm not asking how many times you want them repeated.)

OK I see the problem, this file does not represent the song I am working on, here is the file that does look like what I want the outcome to be. Test1_2.mscz

The problem is that you cannot nest repeats. The second repeat isn't defined by standard music notation. You need to change the second repeat to a D.S. al Coda with the Segno where you want to jump to (probably the begin repeat) then put the to coda before volta 1 and coda at volta 2.

Or use copy/paste to write it out without the nested repeats. It will be longer but paper and ink are cheap and you will avoid confusing the musicians.

Try the attached.
But as mentioned before, the musically technical correct way would be to write volta 2 and 3 instead of 1 and 2, as the first repeat is already used up by the normal end repeat barline.

I just wanted to say thanks for your thoughts, I will apply and see what happens.
