Project

Dragging a barline onto a note inside a measure adds a barline in front of the chord.
The original measure is not split into two.

If it is the intention that this action should create a split this should be considered a bug that it does'nt.

Actually I was wrong in claming thst this should split the measure, it does not, so works as designed.
To split a measure additionally press Ctrl and that does work.

If you say so.
Sorry I didn't read the manual ;-)

I do forsee lots og support questions on this.
"Why do I have measures where duration does not add up to the timesig" and similar.

I have tried this, and I can see that the split occurs if I do ctrl+drag/drop.

It does not work if I do ctrl+doubleclick.
Shouldn't it do that?

I have also been looking to find other ways to perform this action, but haven't found any.
I may have missed it, but I do think that it should be available somewhere.

Best place might be on right-clicking the chord, to have a 'Split measure' item, just like we have a 'Split staff' intem when right-clicking a measure.

Adding a barline from palette unto a note using ctrl+dragdrop adds the barline and splits the measure,
Selecting a note and using ctrl+doubleclick should do he same, but does not work
