Musescore 3.3 Crashing
I can no longer open Musescore 3 since I installed 3.3 update this morning (MuseScore 3.3 released Oct. 31). I run a windows 10 operating system that has supported musescore for the past 5 years. I hope I can continue to use this software.

I just did the update myself, also on Windows 10, and it does not crash.
What more details can you can you tell us about that crashing on your machine?

Like the others, I uninstalled and then installed. Whether it includes the latest update I'm unsure but thanks for your help - as ever! CA
You could try reverting to factory setting via command line, see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/revert-factory-settings#instruction…

I think I got it to work. I couldn't reset it to factory standards, so I uninstalled and reinstalled. It appears to be working now. Thank you for your help!

Same problem--it opens briefly, then disappears. Doesn't matter if I click restore previous session or not, it disappears repeatedly.

Try to uninstall and reinstall the program. This is not usually one of the first ideas we try, but it worked for someone else.

I was able to fix my problem by uninstalling musescore and reinstalling in OR installing musescore a second time from the website and use the "repair" option in the setup window once you open the installed file.

Uninstall worked! I didn't see [or need] a "repair" option. I'll have to see if any of my settings were screwed up in the exchange. Thanks for the "remedy"!

Still crashes even after uninstalling musecore and reinstalling it! I have also tried using the repair option but it still crashes after lunching it. Its been like that ever since I tried installing the musecore 3.3. Beta & RC versions respectively. Now the latest version still crashes too. Its really frustrating and I need help, please?

Ok thanks alot, will do so. Hoping there will be a solution soon enough.
After accepting the suggestion to upgrade to Musescore 3, it is crashing most of the time. Have gone back to Musescore 2. Is this issue sorted please?

No need to go back to MuseScore 2, unless 3.2.3 crashes for you too, you can install that instead of 3.3.

For Windows one of the .msi files, which depends on whether you want a 64bit or 32bit version. For Mac the .dmg, for Linux the AppImage

Cheers, I will try that.

Will 3.2.3 allow me to edit files I created in 3.3?

In case you still have a copy of 3.3 version on your computer, could you please try this instruction?

This may help to find out the cause of the issue.
Another option (if the instruction above does not work), as has been mentioned elsewhere in this thread, is to try opening
.mscz
file directly from a file manager and disabling Start Center afterwards.
