MuseScore on my Mac won't let me delete parts nor will it update the individual parts while i work on the whole piece... this is a very critical issue since i am using the program for writing music for my school band. whenever i attempt to delete a part the program just shuts down...

In order to help, we would need you to post the score you are having trouble with and give precise steps to reproduce the problem. My guess is the score contains a corruption that needs to be fixed.

what i did was switch to view the individual parts and they weren't updated, after words I decided to try go to the toolbar-file-parts... select all the parts and then delete them; as soon as i would click ok the program would crash. the parts still won't update or let themselves be deleted.

thank-you.

Here you repaired file: Fireflies.mscz

I was able to open the score and delete the corrupted parts with a nightly of a beginning of the year. And then, re-create parts in a healthy way (please check, but seems well fixed now)

This does not resolve the question how this score came in this state. More investigation needed.
Your help is welcome to find out the steps (or strong clues, by default) you did to create this score (from the beginning) and then to get it in this state.

I opened the file it seems to be working great... if a problem arises again I will try to think of what may have happened, as I currently don't know... thank you very much from my self and the band as I'm still working on the project as I am supposed to have it finished for us to start practising soon.
Thanks again

Ok, good.
But no, it's not fixed at all (the source of the problem). As said, we need info and your help to understand why and how this score came in this state.
Detailed steps are welcome of course, but every clue may be decisive (in particular, when the parts were created - beginning, end? ) etc.

originally i had the glockenspiel, xylophone, vibraphone, bass guitar, snare, and base drum... i wrote about 25 bars for the three mallets, then i deleted the base drum and snare ad added in the drum kit and tambourine... then i wrote the rest of the mallets which i submitted to you (as the piece is not yet finished) then i wrote base guitar and the drum kit parts (tambourine not until the chorus) mid way through doing that i checked the individual parts noticing the the base guitar was not updated... after this i tried deleting and reloading the parts... bat as i said it wouldn't let me delete the parts the program would just crash... (i could delete parts on demo scores i made testing to see if the fault was with the program, computer, operating system or user files) thats all i know and can tell you.

yours truly.
