1. Open attac hed score.
2. CTRL+Select the quavers in the first bar (or shift select the entire bar)
3. Press X

Expected behaviour: The quavers should flip stem direction.
Actual behaviour: Pressing X has no effect on the stem direction.

If you remove the beam the stems flip properly.
They will also flip if you select the first quaver of each group

The behaviour has changed a bit. In addition to the stem direction of a chord there is a "beam direction". The stem direction of all beamed notes are flipped by changing this beam direction. Beam direction is changed by selecting the beam and pressing "x".
The old (1.x) behaviour is to determine the beam directions from note stem directions (counting up/downs). This is bad as flipping a stem has sometimes no effect.
Its discussable to interpret flipping the stem direction of a beamed note as flipping beam direction.

I think that would be good behaviour particularly if you are performing several operations on a selection culminating in flipping stem/beam direction..
