Stretch keeps changing during note entry
1. Load attached score
2. Select first note of bar 9
3. Engage note entry mode
4. Press number keys or click main toolbar icons.
Result: For each click/press the stretch toggles between 4 bars to the line and 5 bars to the line!

I think it's covered already?: #17118: Missing elements and layout changes
Yes but this is additional info - there is no mention of this happening during note entry in your report.
Incidentally this behaviour was driving me crackers during my editing of bwv565 - every time I pressed a key the layout would change, very often shifting the bar I was working on to the top of the next page, and consequently out of view - particularly annoying when I was trying to adjust trill lines!
Although not in Note Entry (I don't think?), I once (possibly a few times) encountered this (link ), but not sure if I was able to reproduce in the trunk.
Hi Michael
Are you still able to reproduce instances of this?
I'm not sure if I can.
Using MuseScore 2.0 Nightly Build (361ce83) - Mac 10.7.5.
Ubuntu 16.10 Musescore 2.02
I find it very disconcerting if the stretch changes during input/editing of my score. Is there a possibility to preset and lock stretch during input and only let the program change stretch on my command - once the score has been written/edited.
Kind regards
Klaus
Stretch does *not* change as you enter notes. Spacing does, but that is the normal result of correct application of engraving rules - measures with more notes in them are *supposed* to be wider than notes with fewer notes. Stretch is about how much space there is between notes, and that stays constant until you change it. The bug report you are responding to was actually talking about something different still. Since it is no longer reproducible and hasn't been for almost five years, I am closing it.
