Hi,
I am the one guilty of forcing MuseScore to introduce the alt.brevis stuff. Of course, I am aware that the shape change has a visible effect only on breves and longae.
Even ignoring the added complication of filtering note heads according to value (do other note head shapes affect all values?), I am reluctant to agree to this request: in future it could be used to add squared note heads for all values; it would a very specialized application, I know, but so is the current application of this feature.
M.
I too am against this request.
In my own field there are often reciting notes which are usually indicated by a breve, and without constantly tinkering with time signatures it is easier to replace the notehead.
I would guess that anyone else working in the field of unmetrical music would also be against this.
If user's don't want this style of notastion there is no need for them to alter the noteheads from normal in the first place!
Close if you wish.
