Maybe I'm missing it, but where did the option to create copyright text go on 2.0?
It was under Create>Text in previous versions. I know I can add it when creating the score with the wizard. But how can I add it after creating the score? It feels as if the user options are not as available or as flexible in 2.0. I feel very limited as to how I can use many of the features. I'm probably just not familiar enough with all of the coming changes.

It's in the file info section:-

Got to File/Info

That will open a dialogue box with various information aboiut the file, including copyright.

Please close this if it is now solved :)

Thanks for the speedy reply. I found it. I tried to use the (c) for the copyright symbol, but it didn't work and I couldn't edit the copyright line or format it into multiple lines. I saw another post recommending the use of a footer. I see it under Style>General. Haven't figured out how to add one.

I just want the flexibility to put what I need to put where I need to put it. I will definitely use the current version over 2.0. I've been helping others learn how to use the basics but they will be totally frustrated with 2.0. It's just not as intuitive or flexible. But, that is just my opinion. I'm not a professional composer. I still appreciate the project.

Please bear in mind that 2.0 isn't even in alpha status yet.

There is still a lot of work to do on the UI

Various things have moved, but you actually now have a finer degree of control over things like Copyright text than you did in 1.2

Once 2.0 is ready to be released I think you will find it is a great improvement on 1.2 overall.

Amd marking this fixed - should you need to, please re-mark it active.

Hello ChurchOrganist,

this is a question based on your posting of January 2, 2013 - 6:39pm, topic: creating text ... copyright.

In the german version of musescore there is no menu file/info. So there is no possibility to add copyright after creating a score.

???

thx for help

There is "Datei->Info...->copyright" in the nightly builds.
And "Einfügen->Text->Urheberrecht" in 1.x

Please don't assign an issue to yourself, unless you plan to provide a fix.

I just found out that you CAN put a © symbol in!!! How you do it is hold Alt, then press +0169. Let go of Alt and, there it is!!! Hope it helps!

Hello Dave,

the question was over and done with MuseScore 2.0. In program version 1.3 there was no menu point File -> Info -> copyright. Jojo-Schmitz wrote 21 months ago about the menu point Insert -> Text - Copyright in program version 1.x. But there is no need to use an older program version today so the problem was already forgotten for me.
