Selected notes remain blue after some operations have been completed.

1. Create score.
2. Add notes in a couple of bars
3. Select both bars.
4. Select join measures from Edit menu

Expected behaviour: measures join and notes return to black
Actual behaviour: measures join and notes remain blue.

There are other instances of this behaviour eg using the split measure function.
Sometimes also notes do not return to black when deselected by clicking on a blank part of the score.
