Not a new bug. Present in 2.1 as well.

  1. Open the attached MS file. Load fingering_custom.mpal.
  2. Use both the double-click and drag-and-drop methods to add a RH guitar fingering symbol, "p", from the "fingering_custom" palette to one of the notes. Confirm that the text properties in both cases are set correctly. This should be 10px, bold, italic.
  3. Now edit the text of an applied symbol to read "t". Save the symbol to the fingering palette.
  4. Now apply the "t" fingering using both the double-click and drag-and-drop methods.

Expected result: Since no text properties were changed before saving to the palette, the applied symbol should reiterate the existing RH guitar fingering text style (10px, bold, italic).

Actual result: Dragging produces the expected result, but double-clicking gives a symbol with unexpected Text properties: namely, 8px, NO bold, NO italic.

BTW, "8px, NO bold, NO italic" is the "factory-preset" RH guitar fingering Text style.
